Replace Car Key Fob Battery

In the following steps, you will learn how to change the batteries in your car remote. For some types of remotes, simply press the button to release the key, creating a small opening to lift the tab. Identify the part of the remote that needs to be removed and, using tweezers or a very thin flathead screwdriver, try to lower the tab; when you hear a slight click, apply a little pressure to remove the battery cover. If there are no slots or openings on the remote, the operation will be a bit longer and more delicate. First, remove the key by pressing the side button, then take off the silver cap. Get a small flathead screwdriver and gently lift the cover. Remove the flat battery using the same screwdriver, being careful not to damage the internal parts.
