How to Resolve Engine Warning Light on Ford Focus

If the engine warning light illuminates on the dashboard, the first step is to read the fault memory in the engine management ECU. If no errors are detected, it is likely a simple issue of loose connections on the instrument cluster's electronic board. To resolve this, you need to remove the instrument cluster: take off the upper cover of the light switch controls to access the securing screws and remove the cluster from the dashboard. At this point, unclip the tabs of the instrument cluster's frame, pull out the needles until you reach the electronic board: check all the solder joints of the power connector and reassemble the cluster.
