Replacing the battery (model CR 2032) in the remote key fob for this car model is similar to many other Ford models such as the Focus and Fiesta. On the back of the key, you will notice a small slot that allows you to separate the front part of the fob, which houses the mechanical key, from the back part that functions as the remote.

Use the tip of a flathead screwdriver to pry and separate the two pieces, then open the fob shells to access the battery compartment and proceed with the battery replacement.
