Replacing the timing belt on a Ford Transit requires lifting the vehicle so that the front right wheel is not in contact with the ground. Begin by loosening the bolts that secure the wheel to the hub, then loosen the bolts that secure the inner wheel arch lining.

You will then locate the central nut that secures the tensioner pulley; this can then be removed from its seat to slide off the old belt. The new belt can then be installed, ensuring everything functions correctly.
