How to Remove the Lock from the Ford Fiesta

Replacing the door lock is very straightforward. If it needs to be replaced, it is advisable to order an original part to ensure it comes with the same key combination as the original. Once the door is open, there is a cover on the inner side, directly opposite the lock housing. Remove this cover to access the screw that secures the lock. Once this screw is loosened, you can extract the lock complete with its plastic cover, then detach the retaining tabs of the cover and proceed in reverse for the installation of the new lock.
