In the ventilation system of the Ford Focus, it is important that clean air circulates at all times, and to trap dirt that may come with outside air, a filter has been installed on the intake. To keep it efficient, it must be replaced every fifteen thousand miles.

To do this, sit in the passenger seat, unscrew the two plastic nuts that secure the panel under the glove compartment. This will give you access to the end of the central tunnel where you will find the filter cover; open it and remove the old filter element.

Take the new filter and compress it in the centre to insert it into its housing, close the cover, and replace the panel.
