How do you remove the inner door panel of the front door on a Ford Fiesta MK5? First, remove the internal cover of the handle, disconnecting the electrical connectors that link to the electric window operation, using a small screwdriver if necessary.

Undo the screws beneath this cover, and then remove the screws at the bottom of the plastic trim.

Next, remove the plastic cover of the deflector that supports the front mirror to access the cross-head screw located beneath this cover. Now, using a plastic spatula, pry around the trim to detach it from the door.

Remove the handle release catch and then the electrical connectors. Raise the window fully and remove it completely.

The electrical unit is a single black block and can be removed by undoing the screws around it, including the three black Allen screws in the door's thickness. Remove the external handle by undoing the Allen screw in the door's thickness and then releasing the handle.

At this point, you will be able to remove the black back panel containing all the electrical parts by disconnecting all the cables and connectors.
