Replacement of the gear shift boot of the Ford Focus MK2

The gear shift knob of the Ford Focus can deteriorate over time to the point where it needs to be replaced, taking the opportunity to install one with a more attractive design. To carry out the replacement, sit in the driver's seat, grip the knob firmly and unscrew it, detach the chrome base of the knob and remove it. Take the replacement kit, insert the knob at the top of the new knob and screw it onto the gear shift lever, making sure to align the gear pattern correctly at the top, pull down the knob and lock the chrome base in place.
