The gear gaiter on the Ford Focus can deteriorate over time, necessitating replacement, providing an opportunity to fit a more aesthetically pleasing one. To carry out the replacement, sit in the driver's seat, grip the gear knob firmly and unscrew it, detach the chrome base of the gaiter and remove everything.

Take the replacement kit, insert the knob into the top of the new gaiter and screw it onto the gear stick, ensuring the gear pattern at the top is correctly aligned.

Stretch the gaiter downwards and secure the chrome base in its place.
