The operation is very simple and can be done alone in just a few minutes. To start, lift the base of the gear knob gaiter, then begin to unscrew the knob counter-clockwise. Once done, detach the old knob from the gaiter and replace it with a new one. Finally, reattach the new gear knob along with its gaiter, and you have completed the job.
