How to change the engine oil and relative filter of the GMC Sierra Mk3

Model: GMC Sierra MK 3 - Years 2007-2014
Part: Engine oil

The guide shows how to replace the engine oil and the relative filter on the GMC Sierra Mk3. After having lifted and secured the vehicle, it is possible to unscrew the bolt of the oil pan relief valve. During this operation it is advisable to place a container to collect the exhausted fluid. Once all the liquid has been drained, close the valve again and clean up any splashes of oil. Having identified the oil filter, unscrew it with a filter wrench. Also in this case it is a good idea to place a container to collect the lubricating fluid. Check that the gasket is attached to the filter and not to the engine block. Clean the used oil from the housing. Grease the gasket of the new filter with a little oil and fit the replacement part. Fill the oil tank with the correct quantity and type of oil specified in the use and maintenance manual. Run the engine for a few minutes and check the oil level. Top up if necessary.
