Let's see how to unlock the radio of a Honda Accord MK7 (this procedure is valid for many makes and models). Turn on the ignition. The code is found on a sticker in the glove compartment, in the service manual, or on a separate piece of paper, anyway in the onboard documentation. If you cannot find it, contact your Honda dealer and provide your chassis number. In this example, the code was 64162. Use the preset buttons (1-6) on the radio and press button 1 for the first digit, 2 for the second, and so on. For the example 64162, press button 1 six times, button 2 four times, button 3 once, etc. After entering, press the "AM/FM" or "ENTER" button. If the code is correct, the radio will reactivate and store the unlock. If an incorrect code is entered, wait 1 hour with the car on before retrying. Some models lock after too many attempts.
