Gear Knob Replacement

Model: Honda CR-V MK 3 - Years 2007-2012

If you want to replace the leather gear knob of a Honda CR-V, here are the instructions. Turn the key to "ON" and keep the handbrake pulled or use the shift lock release button. Position the gear lever in first gear. Using a plastic spatula, remove the knob cover, then with a star screwdriver, unscrew the two screws. At this point, detach the switch that is attached to both the upper and lower parts of the knob. Extract the knob by sliding it upwards and then disconnect the cable. Now replace the old knob with the new one. Reuse the button and spring from the replaced knob by inserting them into the new one. You can now reassemble the gear lever by performing the reverse operations of disassembly.
