Removing the Rear Bumper

Model: Honda Civic MK 6 - Years 1995-2001

To facilitate the removal process, lift the vehicle onto a ramp. Before lifting the vehicle, open the boot. Then, unscrew the fixing screws of the bumper, starting from those located along the edges of the wheel arches. Remove the protective caps from the pins along the closure line of the boot and the clips located at the bottom of the bumper. At this point, unclip the bumper from the sides and remove it: just below the rear light is the bumper mounting plate. If necessary, remove the rear light and adjust the plate. Proceed in reverse for reassembly.
