Replacing the Spark Plug on Honda Civic

Replacing a damaged spark plug on a Civic? Here’s how to remove it from the engine head. Lift the front bonnet, secure it, and disconnect the battery terminals. Remove the soundproofing panel covering the engine, then take off the coils from the engine head; next, use a socket spanner to unscrew the spark plugs and pull them out of the head. Take the new spark plugs and guide them into the engine head using the socket extension, tighten them, and reconnect the power coils to each spark plug with new leads. Close the engine bonnet and test their proper functioning. Start the engine and check the operation.
