Replacement of Front Shock Absorber

Loosen the wheel nuts and lift the vehicle, securing it. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew and extract the retaining pins of the arm from the suspension using a spanner and push them out. Use penetrating spray to facilitate the operation.

Also disconnect the steering tie rod. Using a spanner and a ratchet, remove the suspension bolts and detach the shock absorber. Remove the protective cover in the engine bay and, using a spanner, unscrew the three bolts at the top of the suspension.

Clean the entire suspension assembly from debris with a wire brush. Remove the old shock absorber and replace it with a new one. Also replace the spring and rubber gaiter.

Refit the suspension to the vehicle in reverse order.

How to Remove the Rear Seat of a Hyundai Tucson?

To remove the rear seat of a Hyundai Tucson, follow these steps. Start by moving the front seats to their most forward position to gain space. Next, locate the release lever on the underside of the rear seat, near the floor. Press this lever down while pulling the seat upwards to unlock it from the anchor pins. Once unlocked, tilt the seat upwards and forwards to remove it from its position. Repeat this process for both sides of the rear seat. Be careful of any electrical cables or components that may be connected to the seat during removal. Once the rear seat is removed, the disassembly is complete.
