Replacement of Front Shock Absorber

Model: Honda Accord MK 6 - Years 1998-2002

Loosen the wheel nuts and lift the vehicle, securing it. Unscrew the bolts and remove the wheel. Unscrew and extract the retaining pins of the arm from the suspension using a spanner and push them out. Use penetrating spray to facilitate the operation. Also disconnect the steering tie rod. Using a spanner and a ratchet, remove the suspension bolts and detach the shock absorber. Remove the protective cover in the engine bay and, using a spanner, unscrew the three bolts at the top of the suspension. Clean the entire suspension assembly from debris with a wire brush. Remove the old shock absorber and replace it with a new one. Also replace the spring and rubber gaiter. Refit the suspension to the vehicle in reverse order.
