Automatic Gearbox Oil Replacement.

Model: Honda Accord MK 5 - Years 1993-1998

To drain the oil from the gearbox, position a suitable container beneath the gearbox and unscrew the plug located near the front suspension's wishbone. While draining the oil, carefully clean the drain plug, which has a magnetic end designed to collect metallic debris. Once the oil has fully drained, refit the plug. Next, access the engine bay and locate the oil level dipstick for the gearbox, near the battery. Insert a funnel and fill the gearbox with new oil. To perform a sort of purge, connect a rubber hose to the oil outlet pipe and start the engine: allow the oil to flow out until the colour becomes clear like new oil. Restore the level by topping up.
