How to Install a New Rear Shock Absorber

This video shows the removal and replacement of an old shock absorber on a Honda CR-V. After lifting the vehicle on a ramp, remove the rear wheel. Loosen the lower shock absorber bolt without removing it. Then, after removing the dust cover, unscrew the three bolts located at the top. Now you can remove the previously loosened lower bolt and, using a lever and a few taps with a hammer, free the shock absorber. Position the new shock absorber, aligning the holes correctly to secure it, and reattach the upper and lower bolts. Tighten the upper bolts from inside the cabin and replace the plastic cover that protects the upper end of the shock absorber. Finally, reassemble the wheel.

How to Open the Bonnet on the Lancia Y
