Replacing the Engine Air Filter

A clogged air filter results in reduced engine performance and excessive fuel consumption. If the air filter is not changed regularly, it restricts airflow to the engine, which can lead to a lack of power during acceleration and dark exhaust smoke. Its function is to protect the engine by trapping impurities from the airflow. To replace it, locate its position within the cabin, open the air filter housing, remove the used filter, and clean the bottom of the housing where it resides. Once done, insert the new filter and close the housing.
