Replacing the Battery on a Honda SH300 Scooter (or Any Other Two-Wheeled Vehicle)

Removing the battery on a scooter or motorcycle is exactly the same: first, disconnect the negative terminal, and then the positive. At this point, the battery comes out easily, as it is not secured tightly in motorcycles and scooters, but only gently placed. By disconnecting the negative terminal first, you break the battery's contact with the frame, thus working more safely and avoiding the risk of a metal tool creating a short circuit. The installation is done in reverse order, so connect the positive terminal first and then the negative, always applying a thin layer of grease to prevent oxidation. It may seem trivial, but it isn’t, as it helps you avoid major issues arising from potential short circuits.
