How to Repair the Central Locking of a Honda CR-V

To resolve the issue of the central locking not working on your Honda CR-V, you need to disassemble the entire inner door panel of the door that does not close. Start by removing all the screws from the handle and the snap handle, and then those from the panel. Now it will come off easily. Remove the connector from the actuator and unscrew the three screws on the door edge. Be very careful when removing the screws, as they are delicate, visible screws that can be easily damaged. Therefore, get three new ones. Once these three screws are unscrewed, open the door lining to access the inside. Remove the blue clip that holds the actuator group in place and take it out. This is not easy as there is very little space. Once removed from its housing, you need to transfer the linkages from the old actuator to the new one, which costs about £24.00 on major e-commerce platforms. These are very small screws, so take great care. Reconnect it to the handle, and now you can reposition the actuator in its place. Replace the three new visible screws, reposition the door lining where you will place the linkages and handle, and at this point, you can reassemble the inner door panel. Now the central locking works perfectly. The job is finished.
