How to Replace the Front Brakes on a Honda Civic Mk8

This guide shows how to replace the front brakes on a Honda Civic Mk8. Using a 19 mm spanner, loosen the bolts on the front wheels and lift the vehicle. Once the wheel is removed, use a 12 mm spanner to unscrew the two caliper locking bolts and remove the worn brake pads. Remove the two 17 mm bolts from the caliper housing and take off the component. Using a large flathead screwdriver, remove the retaining screws of the brake disc and extract the old part. Install the new disc and clean it with appropriate spray. Clean the caliper housing and refit it in position. Lubricate the brake pads with the appropriate lubricant and install them. Using a brake piston tool, push the caliper piston back fully and reinstall the component. Check the proper functioning of the system before hitting the road.
