How to Remove the Oil Filter on a Honda CR-V

Model: Honda CR-V MK 2 - Years 2002-2007
Part: Oil filter

Using a special oil filter wrench, unscrew the filter by turning it counterclockwise. Once unscrewed, pull upwards to remove it. At this point, turn the filter upside down to hold the filter housing in place and remove the filter by turning it counterclockwise. After removing the old oil filter, take off the old seals by applying pressure with a screwdriver. Once the oil filter and old seals are removed, fit the new seals onto the filter housing. After fitting the new seals, install the new filter by turning it clockwise. Finally, position the oil filter in the engine bay and use the appropriate screwdriver to tighten the filter.
