Replacing Oil Filter on Honda CR-V

How to replace the oil filter on a Honda CR-V? When replacing the filter, it is better to also replace the oil. Lift the car on a jack and unscrew the drain plug of the oil sump (located under the oil sump); allow the fluid to drain into a container. Lift the bonnet and secure it. Using a socket wrench, unscrew the large oil filter. Remove the worn oil filter and position a new one. Top up with new fluid and close the bonnet. Start the engine and check for proper operation of the Honda CR-V.
