In this video we see how to clean the MAP (Manifold Absolute Pressure) sensor of a Hyundai I10: the sensor measures the absolute pressure of the intake manifold, which is used to calculate the amount of fuel to inject to obtain the optimal air-fuel mixture. If it is dirty, we can have an increase in fuel consumption, loss of power, and difficult starting. We need a specific detergent like LiquiMoly 4066, which can be found on E-Bay with code 226983343356 at a price of 15.99 with free delivery in 3 days. The sensor is located near the throttle body: it is a small black plastic component with an electrical connector and a tube that enters the manifold. Disconnect the connector, remove the Torx screw that secures the sensor and remove it, shake the can and spray the detergent at a distance of 15/20 cm. Let it dissolve the dirt and do not touch it with anything. If necessary, repeat the operation. Let it air dry. Reassemble the sensor by replacing the fixing screw and reconnecting the electrical connector.
