When changing the oil filter of the 2023 Hyundai Kina, we need to be very careful because the filter system is completely different from that of previous versions. To unscrew the filter housing, it is necessary to use a 24 mm wrench, then remove the entire housing. We remove the O-ring from the groove, take out the locking pin, and pull out the internal filter cartridge (it will come out under pressure). We clean the metal housing thoroughly. Now we can insert the new cartridge into the housing, then insert the new pin to lock it in place and reassemble a new O-ring in the groove, making sure to lightly lubricate it with clean oil first. We hand-tighten the housing.
