Today we will explain how to independently adjust the handbrake of the Hyundai I20. To carry out this simple procedure, we need to use a star screwdriver. We remove the rear cover of the central console to gain access to the handbrake adjustment cable. We tighten the cable and make sure it is tight enough by testing the handbrake engagement. If the handbrake still feels weak when engaged, it will be necessary to tighten the nut a few more turns. Once the operation is complete, we reattach the rear cover and ensure the proper functioning of the handbrake during a road test.
