How to change the battery of the Hyundai Tucson remote control.

To replace the battery in the Hyundai Tucson remote control, work on a clean surface and use a small plastic tool or a thin flathead screwdriver, gently prying it open to avoid scratching the casing. First, remove the emergency mechanical key from the remote, then locate the opening slot of the shell and separate the two halves without forcing them: the goal is to disengage the latches without breaking the clips.

Once opened, access the battery compartment and remove the button battery, paying attention to the polarity (how the “+” and “-” are positioned). Insert the new battery of the same type and close the remote by properly aligning the two parts until you hear the latches click into place.

Reinsert the mechanical key and check the proper functioning of the open/close buttons and, if present, the trunk. If the buttons feel stiff or unresponsive after the replacement, reopen and check that the battery is properly seated in the contacts and that the shell is completely closed.
