How to Start a Hyundai Tucson or Kona with a Flat Battery

In this video, see how to start a Hyundai Tucson or Kona HEV with a flat battery. These full hybrid cars have two batteries: a traction battery and a 12-volt starter battery, like all petrol cars, which powers all the vehicle's accessories. If these vehicles detect excessive current consumption, they disconnect the battery to preserve a reserve. Enter the car using the emergency key, opening the lock located in the driver's door. These vehicles have a button called "12-Volt Battery Reset": simply press it once to activate the battery reserve and start the engine. But be careful: you have only 15 seconds to start the car, and then you must drive the car for at least 30 minutes to recharge the battery, or leave it in "ready to drive" mode with the engine running.
