What to Do If the Windscreen Washer Fluid Doesn't Spray

Let’s see how to fix the issue of the windscreen washer not spraying. Ensure the car engine is off. It may seem trivial, but first, check that there is washer fluid in the reservoir! If it’s empty, fill it with the appropriate fluid, never with tap water, as it clogs the channels and damages the windscreen. Check the fuse that protects the washer; it may be blown. Ask a friend to activate the washer while you are near the bonnet; you should hear a buzzing sound from the washer fluid reservoir area. If you hear the buzz but no water comes out, there may be a blockage or a disconnected or kinked hose; otherwise, the pump may be faulty. To clean the injectors and hoses, disconnect the pump near the washer fluid reservoir, check the filter upstream of the pump, clean it, and also clean the injectors on the bonnet with a very fine pin. Follow the hose route to check for any breaks or kinks.
