How to remove the steering wheel with airbag on a Chevrolet Sonic? This operation is very simple if you follow the steps. Insert a screwdriver or a socket (medium length) into the side slots of the steering wheel and unscrew the securing screws (release the clips). Once the screws are removed, disconnect the airbag and its power terminals. Use a socket to unscrew the bolt in the centre of the steering wheel; extract it from the steering column. For reassembling the steering wheel: connect the power terminal, then insert the steering wheel into the steering column, press it in with your hands until it is seated, and tighten the securing bolts.
