How to Change Engine Oil Quickly

To change the engine oil yourself, lift the car with a jack and secure it with axle stands to work safely underneath. Use a low but spacious container to collect the old oil, positioning it under the oil sump. Unscrew the plug and let it drain completely. Next, unscrew the oil filter located behind the passenger side wheel, replace it with a new one, and once the oil has finished draining, carefully screw the plug back under the sump. Now, top up with new oil, pouring in half a litre less than the maximum indicated in the owner's manual. Start measuring the oil level with the dipstick, adding oil gradually until you reach a level between the minimum and maximum. Remember to wait for the oil to settle before measuring the level.
