Dismantling Front Shock Absorber

Model: Hyundai Elantra XD, MK 3 - Years 2000-2006
Part: Shocks

Open the front bonnet and lift the vehicle on a lift; then remove the front wheel. Disconnect the brake wear sensor support and unscrew the mounting pins of the shock absorber from the hub. Access the engine bay to remove the shock absorber mounting support from the vehicle chassis. At this point, position the suspension on a bench to proceed with the potential replacement of the shock absorber and/or the support. Compress the spring using the appropriate clamps. Once this phase is complete, reposition the suspension in its place, tightening all the mounting pins.
