Hyundai Elantra - Video tutorial

Model: Hyundai Elantra MK 3, XD - Years 2000-2006
Part: Shock absorbers
Operation: Replacement of front shock absorbers

Replacing the front shock absorbers is not the typical do-it-yourself maintenance, but if you get the appropriate clamps to compact the spring, then you can proceed; the operation becomes even easier if you have a lift on which to lift the car; then start by removing the front wheel and then move on to the pins that fix the shock absorber to the hub support; then access the engine compartment and unscrew the nuts that secure the shock absorber support to the bodywork dome; once the shock absorber has been removed from its seat, apply the clamps to the spring and compact it just enough to free the support and be able to remove it from the stem; then insert the spring, bellows and support in the new shock absorber and proceed in reverse for installation on board the car.

How to reset the service in the Opel Antara?

As we can see in this tutorial, resetting the service in the Opel Antara is an extremely simple and fast operation. Before proceeding, of course, we must have completed all the planned maintenance work. We start by inserting the key but leaving it in the initial position, after which we keep the accelerator pedal fully depressed and at the same time turn on the instrument panel, not the engine. At this point, we release the accelerator and press it 3 consecutive times, always all the way. We then restart the panel to verify that the procedure has been carried out correctly.
