Replacing Front Shock Absorbers

Model: Hyundai Elantra XD, MK 3 - Years 2000-2006

Lift the vehicle on a hydraulic lift and remove the front wheel to facilitate the following operations. Remove the support bracket for the ABS and brake fluid pipes, then the mounting bolts of the shock absorber to the hub; access the engine bay to unscrew the mounting bolts of the shock absorber to the vehicle chassis; extract the shock absorber from its seat complete with spring and proceed to disassemble the spring itself after compressing it with the appropriate clamps; once the spring is compressed, you can remove the top mount and transfer everything to the new shock absorber, finally installing it on the vehicle.
