How to Change the Timing Belt on a Hyundai i20

Let’s see how to change the timing belt on a Hyundai i20. Lift the car on a column lift (if necessary, remove the front wheel using a screwdriver to take off the right wheel arch liner). Loosen the tensioner pulley and slide the belt out of its seat. Using a socket spanner, unscrew the securing bolt of the tensioner pulley, and remove the water pump (it’s better to replace it). Fit the new water pump, the tensioner, and the belt itself, and tighten everything with the socket spanner. Refit all the covers removed previously.
