In the event of a breakage of a bumper piece (or any plastic element), you can use innovative repair techniques that involve special adhesives capable of replicating a true weld. To secure the edge of the bumper to the wing, proceed as follows: 1) Clean the edges to be welded thoroughly; 2) Sand with coarse sandpaper to improve adhesion; 3) Align the edges and fix them at two or three points by melting the plastic with a soldering iron; 4) Apply reinforcement mesh; 5) Cover the outer part of the joint with high-temperature tape to prevent melted plastic from escaping; 6) Weld the two edges by melting the filler rod with a hot air soldering tool; 7) Remove the tape and excess adhesive with a craft knife.
