Replacing the battery in your car remote is a very simple task. If there is an internal compartment in the remote, the battery replacement generally involves opening the remote itself, which can be done by unlocking a small clip with a screwdriver that holds the two plastic parts of the casing together or by removing a small cover at the back of the buttons, similar to that of a television remote. In both cases, opening it will give access to the battery that needs to be replaced; the new one must be identical. It is important to replace the battery when you notice the first signs of weakness and not wait until it is completely drained.
