Today's steps will allow us to unlock the automatic transmission lever of the Jeep Cherokee while the car is turned off or due to a malfunction. First, we get inside the car and start by disconnecting and removing the shift boot from the base of the lever; then we press the button to unlock the lever, as shown in the video. At this point, it will be possible to unlock the lever and place it, for example, in Neutral position; this way, it will be possible to move the car in case of emergency, finally repositioning the gear in position P after fixing the issue.
