How does the Selec Terrain of the Jeep Compass MK2 work?

What is the purpose and how do you use the Select Terrain of the Jeep Compass MK2? It is a system of all-wheel drive that allows us to adapt the car to different types of terrain, optimizing traction and stability. It acts on various parameters of the vehicle, such as throttle response, gear management, torque distribution, and traction control. The modes include "auto" which is the default mode, ideal for everyday driving; "snow" to tackle snowy or icy roads, optimizing traction and reducing the risk of slipping; "sand" to tackle sandy terrain, allowing slight wheel slippage to move forward without getting stuck; "mud" to tackle mud or rough terrain, maximizing traction and helping to overcome obstacles; and finally "rock" to tackle rocky paths: optimizes traction at low speeds and allows you to overcome difficult obstacles. The selector is located on the center console, we select the condition we are in and confirm, and remember: the Select Terrain is an aid, but it does not replace caution and attention while driving.

How to Check the Oil Level on a Jeep Renegade?

To check the oil level on a Jeep Renegade, you need to open the bonnet to access the components inside the engine bay: on the lower left side of the engine block, you will find the dipstick for checking the level. This should be pulled out and thoroughly cleaned with a cloth: once cleaned, reinsert it back into its tube and pull it out immediately after. This way, you can check that the oil mark is between the minimum and maximum levels; finally, you can place the dipstick back in its tube.
