How do you reset the Service light on the Jeep Cherokee?

The Service light that is shown on the instrument panel of the Jeep Cherokee can be reset by inserting the ignition key into the appropriate slot: once the instrument panel is turned on, it will be possible to press the accelerator pedal all the way down five times. By performing this operation, it will be noticed that the Service light will disappear completely from the instrument panel. Once the light has been deactivated, the instrument panel can be turned off; turning it on again will verify that the light has completely disappeared from the display.
