How do you reset the Service light on the Jeep Grand Cherokee?

Model: Jeep Grand Cherokee WK, MK 3, WH - Years 2004-2010

It will be possible to completely remove the Service light from the instrument panel of the Jeep Grand Cherokee by turning on the instrument panel after inserting the ignition key: once the panel has been activated, it will be possible to press the STEP button repeatedly located on the central dashboard panel. When the maintenance message appears, it will be possible to hold down the RESET button to reset the maintenance interval and make the light disappear; finally, it will be possible to turn off the instrument panel to complete the procedure.
