Here’s how to remove the fuel tank from a Jeep Cherokee. First, lift the bonnet and secure it with the prop rod. Next, remove the engine soundproofing panel. Using a screwdriver, tighten the fuel access to the engine. Disconnect the battery cables, then lift the vehicle using a column lift. Unscrew the securing bolts of the metal plates with a socket spanner and remove them from their location. Disconnect the fuel supply connectors and the fuel circulation hoses. Finally, extract the fuel tank from its location along with any retaining parts. Replace the removed part with a new one.
