How to Replace the Remote Battery on a Jeep Cherokee

Is the battery in your Jeep Cherokee key due for replacement? Let's look at how to replace the battery. Take the ignition remote and remove the metal key. Once the key is out, insert a screwdriver into the space of the plastic remote. Pry it open and separate the plastic parts. Use a small screwdriver to extract the worn battery and take a new one of the same size and voltage to replace it. Rejoin the two plastic parts of the remote; insert the key back in. Check the operation of the unlock buttons on the remote.
