Replacing the Remote Key Battery on Jeep Cherokee

If the battery in the Jeep Cherokee remote key is running low, it’s best to replace it. Take the car's ignition key and remove the metal key from the housing. Insert a screwdriver into the slot and lever it until you separate the key frame from the plastic cover. Split the two halves of the remote key, remove the depleted battery, and insert the new one. Then, close the remote key with the cover and fit the plastic frame over the remote cover. Insert the metal key. Test the remote key with the buttons.
