How to remove the third brake light on a Jeep Wrangler? The light is located above the spare wheel of the vehicle. Remove the spare wheel, then unscrew the screws located at the back of the light's cover. Once the back of the light is free from any constraints, disconnect it from the light itself (unplug the relevant power connectors). Install the new light: connect the power connector, insert the cover into the back of the light (after fitting the bulbs), and screw the securing screws back in. Refit the spare wheel after installing the light.
