How to Remove the Spare Wheel from the Jeep Wrangler

If you need to use the spare wheel on the vehicle or simply want to remove it, just follow these steps. Before you start, ensure that the car's engine is off. Then, take the case containing the maintenance kit provided by Jeep and go to the rear of the vehicle. Insert the Allen key from the kit into the hole on the spare wheel lock. Turn counter-clockwise and remove the plastic cover. Next, unscrew the bolt at the bottom and remove it as well. Finally, pull the spare wheel towards you to detach it.
