Resetting the Engine Oil Warning Light on Jeep Compass

Model: Jeep Compass 552, MK 2 - Years 2016-2025

Get in the car and, by pressing the appropriate ignition button, turn on the instrument cluster but not the engine. Once the various warning lights have turned off but the oil change warning light remains on, press the accelerator pedal three times. Turn off the ignition and wait a few seconds. When you turn it back on, press the brake pedal and keep it pressed. Note that this reset procedure should not be performed unless you have actually changed the engine oil, but should only be done after such maintenance to avoid serious damage to the engine.
