How to solve the lighting problems of the Jeep Compass instrument panel

In the Jeep Compass produced from 2021 onwards, the instrument panel lighting is too low, especially in daylight conditions, and the brightness sensor, which should automatically adjust the brightness, stops working; in fact, the "daytime brightness adjustment" appears to be disabled. This is a software issue, a bug in the system that manages the instrumentation. The video shows a forced electronic reset, which temporarily resolves the issue (until the next software update or when the bug reappears). Let's open the hood, disconnect the negative terminal of the battery, and leave it disconnected for 30/60 seconds. Reconnect the negative terminal and turn on the car. Now the lighting should work normally.
