How to Open the Key of a Jeep Compass

In this video, discover how to open the key of a Jeep Compass. Start by extracting the internal key: pull the lever shown at 0:45 while simultaneously sliding out the piece. Now insert a flat-head screwdriver into the space above the slot left free by the extracted key. Apply slight pressure, and the two pieces of the battery shell will separate: if necessary, use the screwdriver all around the key to separate the pieces correctly. At this point, the key will be open, and if needed, replace the CR2032 battery by inserting it into the designated holder and closing the two pieces with light pressure.
