Wiring the Reverse Camera on a Jeep Renegade

Model: Jeep Renegade 520, MK 1, BU - Years 2014-2026

To install the rear camera, you need to remove the complete trim around the air vents that surrounds the touch display. Unscrew the 4 screws securing the Uconnect display, pull it out, and disconnect the power connector. Take the camera kit and position the wiring between the 54-pin connector and the display. Take the 30-pin connector and, before connecting it to the interface, configure the dip switches by setting dip 3 and 4 of the 12-pin series to 'ON' and all pins of the 5-pin series to 'OFF', and set the rotary switch to '9'. Connect the connector to the interface, then open the door, turn on the ignition, wait for the display to start, and confirm by pressing 'accept'. Set dip 2 on the 5-pin series to 'ON' to activate the camera coding procedure; once completed, the display will restart. Confirm on the touch screen and check the camera input activation by engaging reverse (before connecting the camera), then turn off the ignition. Connect the reverse camera power supply (cable included with the camera), then connect the camera to the interface input. Reassemble the display and trim, turn on the ignition, engage reverse, and check that the camera image is visible.
